You know, I used to be a huge MMO nerd I would still be if it didn't take so long to play them like what do you do when you're home alone fighting a raid boss with your group and the landline phone starts ringing. *phone rings*https://specialolympics2017games.com/
Who knows how important the call is Should I just leave my PC as it is and risk getting banned or who knows even banned if it's League of Legends but it could just be a telemarketer I'm sure all of us had to make the tough decision at least once Actually Henry Cavill almost missed his first Superman role for the movie because he was playing when they called him. He had to call them back later. So yeah but you can meet people online and even though you have to be careful who you talk to online In many cases you can find some good people That's what happened to me, my brother and my dad yes, my dad. my parents understand that you can't pause multiplayer games. I know. We used to play an older game for years where the community of the guild we were in was really friendly After a while the members built up enough trust with eachother so most of us thought it would be a good idea to have a guild meetup And we went to it! It was at one of the members' very small farm everybody brought tents to set up in the garden for sleeping because it was just a meetup for a single day it was for 2 days and yeah it was fun. We were talking about the same things ... but in person around this little campfire thingy it was basically a small buried bucket surrounded with sand An older guy, let's call him Bob because that sounds a lot like his gamertag got really drunk and he was talking stuff like "when I played this game you didn't even exist" And we didn't see him for a while The day went by quick but the night came and it had it's secrets We heard some weird sound *sounds* Do zombies exist? *sounds* *GASP* Is that Danny: -Hey you Me? Danny: -Yes you. Danny: -Do you ever have that annoying feeling of being tired? How did you know? I've been walking since I was a kid and I got more and more tired overtime Do you have any solution for dealing with tiredness? Danny: -Yes I do. Danny: -Take a seat! Sit down! Danny: -You can sit down on chairs, benches, even on a rock. It doesn't matter, just park your butt I've been using this technique for a year and I feel like I'm always full of energy. It can also be applied for gaming and other activities Danny: -That's right! Danny: -Sit down! You can't get tired of it! *ba dum tss* Just Bob sleeping in a bush. Guys! We found Bob! After that me and my family went to sleep. The next day everybody noticed that one of the plastic chairs are missing and anytime it got brought up, a few people were just looking like this turns out they broke it and then they melted the entire chair in that tiny campfire so nothing remained Just the campfire bucket got filled with plastic But the guy who broke the chair was a relative of the owner so no big deal For me it was my first time I met anyone I knew from the internet in real life It was really interesting to see the people behind the characters, they are all normal people I wouldn't have met if we wouldn't have met online. Thank you so much DannyDoodles for helping me with this video! His voice is so perfect for that scene I've been following him since his first video and I can absolutely recommend checking his channel out Also, wow! There are so many new people here :D Welcome! Hope you'll enjoy the ride! Thanks really I never thought I'd ever get 50 subs when I started Thanks for watching and see you in the next one!

To the extent that they get seriously injured. One absolutely terrible case had a young child thrown so hard against the slide that he fell unconscious, and then drifted to the bottom of the slide where he was basically lifeless. He miraculously survived, but the incident was enough to shut the ride down to find out what exactly went on. Maybe even more puzzling, this wasn't even the first time someone had gotten injured on the ride, it was just one of the more severe cases of injuries. Even during the testing of the ride, yes, the TESTING, of the ride, there were injuries reported by the test group. Which begs the question, how was this ride open to the public when the tests of the ride showed there would be injuries navigate to this website?
I am surprised they were willing to risk a lawsuit. I guess they figured people still want the thrill!! 5. The Aqua Loop Loops are a key attraction at both amusement parks and water parks. But the main problem with designing a ride with loops is that if you don't get enough speed, you're not going around it. This is what happened with one woman in Australia who rode The Aqua Loop. Now, to be fair, the ride hasn't had too many complaints, and it was designed and tested to ensure that you got enough speed to go up and over so you could go back down. But as you know, "there’s a one in a million chance..." And that chance ended up being a woman in 2012. Something, it's not clear what, happened to her so that she honestly couldn't get enough speed. So when she got near the top of the loop, she didn't have enough momentum to continue. She fell right back down the way she came, injuring her shoulder in the process. The problem she then faced was that she couldn't go back up to continue the ride, and she also couldn't go back up the way she came. She was stuck. Thankfully, there was an escape hatch that let her get out, but the fear and pain were still very much on her mind. She ended up suing the park because of the incident. Wouldn’t you? 4. The Verrückt Part of the fun of going on a waterslide is seeing the way it's designed. Since it's a park, it's meant to incite feelings of awe and wonder of what going on the different slides will be like. But, since they are competing to be cool and cause excitement, it can have some bad side effects, including death. Case in point, the The Verrückt located at Schlitterbahn Waterpark in Kansas City. A slide that was actually taller than the Statue of Liberty. Think about that for a second, I'll wait. Terrified? Same here. On one hand, I could imagine the thrill of going up that high and seeing the world look so small beneath me, and then the rush of getting to the bottom and then having a good nervous laugh once I’m at the bottom. But, if there's any issue at all with the ride, it could claim a life. And that's exactly what happened. In 2016, a young boy got on the ride, and didn’t make it. Because of the incident, the slide is going to be demolished. The owners of the park and the designer of the ride have been charged with second degree murder. 3. Streamer Slide When it comes to waterslides, there are two ways to go down. One, is bare body, which is standard in most slides. The other is by inner tube, which can be solo or in tandem depending on the ride. In regards to the tubes, there's always a danger of not holding on and losing them. But the truly dangerous waterslides are the ones that make those tubes flip with you in it. From designs that boggle the mind, to others that were shut down soon after opening, join me, as I reveal the 8 most dangerous waterslides in the world. 8. Black Hole Ah, what a better way to start off this list than with a waterslide that actually sounds like a death trap! Now, there are many water parks that have a slide called the Black Hole (I had my own personal embarrassing tragedy happen on one of them actually), but the one I am speaking of is in Orlando, Florida at the Wet N’ Wild Water Park. Now, this slide, like many others on this list, have a history of being rather abusive to its riders. But some are just worse than others.
One man was actually struck by something in the slide, and this left him basically paralyzed from the legs down. He sued and got almost two million dollars due to damages. But that's just the beginning of it all. Multiple people have filed suit not just because the ride has a habit of knocking people off of their inner tubes, but there have been documented cases of people colliding in the slide itself. How does that happen? Well, the slide is long, and takes over 23 seconds to complete. But, the people at the park send people down every 20 seconds. This leads to a lot of problems, and a lot of collisions. So if you go to the Wet N’ Wild Water Park...do as most astronauts do...stay away from black holes. 7. Shoot The Rapids Before I go into details on this one, you need some context. This slide made it onto this list because of a mechanical malfunction that almost created a disaster. It was not a design flaw like many other rides on this list. Now you know. Cedar Point Park is one the most beloved amusement parks in the United States, especially in the midwest. Tens of thousands flood to the park every year, and that means the rides get a lot of abuse from the wear and tear, and that's exactly what happened with the ride Shoot The Rapids. This ride was one of those massive raft rides where you and nine other people were fastened into a raft that had you go down a stream and then down a massive slide at the end. But, to get to that part, you had to get hitched to a rail and then go up the hill. Unfortunately for ten people, that rail hitch broke part way up, and the people were basically dropped back down in a free fall. To make matters worse, the raft flipped, pinning all the people inside of it to the ground and leaving them face down in water with no air. Thankfully for all, there were people nearby who rushed to their rescue, and saved them before anyone was killed. There were injuries though, and to this day, this incident goes down as one of the worst incidents in water ride history. Technically wasn't the parks fault because parts break unexpectedly, but many people accused them of not maintaining the ride properly. And now for number 6, but first, be sure to subscribe if you are new here!! We have lots of new videos coming up. And let us know your water park experience in the comments below!! 6. The Aqua Sphere The Peninsula Aquatic Recreation Center is home to a ride known as the Aqua Sphere, and it's not hard to see how it got the name with those massive sphere popping out in certain places. Side note, there are a lot of slides that have "aqua" in the title. Why? Are they struggling to come up with good names for the rides? Or are they just trying to be super clear about what the ride entails? Anyway, let’s move on. This is one ride you might hesitate a second before getting on. This ride has had issues for years with injuries. Apparently, the long twists and turns have a tendency to throw people around. What it often boils down to is what operating system you prefer or what you have just gotten used to. Users become fluent in things like keyboard shortcuts or they just prefer certain programs on one OS. But it’s not all about functionality, though. Apple’s design looks good. It always has, and some people say that’s why Macs are so popular with the creative community.
If you want to look good, you get a Mac, after all, not everyone who drives a Ferrari is interested in driving at 180mph or even cares what is under the hood. They bought the car as a status symbol, just as Macs still give people a high-status badge. Some people will likely deny this, but there is ample evidence out there that all around the world Apple products are indeed a status symbol. Most critics tell us this is slowly changing, though, as manufacturers of PCs have concentrated more over the last few years on making machines that look cool. Now you may be thinking, oh no, not me, you see I’m all about security and I’m not interested in showing off. U.S. security firm Kaspersky wrote that while indeed Macs were prone to fewer online threats as PCs were in the past, that is changing. “The rising popularity of Mac operating systems in recent years has made them a prime target for cybercriminals and Macs have subsequently fallen prey to a number of viruses, malware and other web threats,” wrote the company. It is still true, though, wrote Kaspersky, that Windows machines are presently more vulnerable to viruses than Macs. So that is one very good reason to buy a Mac, even though we shouldn't have a false sense of security in light of the growing number of Mac attacks, but for now, with the majority of the world using PCs, that’s where the majority of cyber attacks are focused. Another thing is the fact it’s so easy to build onto your PC compared to a Mac. Apple wants to keep you in its own ecosystem, and this isn’t always a good thing. It gives users fewer options and can add to costs. But Microsoft has its flaws too: When Windows 10 came out, it was severely criticized for being too pushy regarding advertising, and for employing data tracking features in the OS that weren’t always obvious. “Windows 10 is spying on you”, became a headline for a while after the OS was released. But what are the best selling computers of all time? Well, number one goes to the Commodore 64, released in 1982 with over 17 million units. Next was the Commodore Amiga 500 (released in 1987, with 6 million units); MSX (released in 1983, with 5 million units); and Sinclair ZX Spectrum (released in 1982, with 5 million units). 1977’s Apple II sold one million units and 1998’s iMac sold around 800,000 units. Historically, PCs reign supreme over Mac. For 2017, when we look at total PC sales against Mac sales, Apple is still a ways behind other manufacturers. Apple PC sales that year were 19.6 million, while Dell sold 41,821,000 PCs. Lenovo sold 54,857,000 PCs and HP was on top, selling 58,800,000 PCs. If we look at quarter one 2018, the top four are still in the same position. Apple has so far shipped 4.26 million units, Dell 9.88 million, Lenovo 12.35 million, and HP 12.86 million. Many critics out there believe that Apple must once again stun people as it’s been resting on its laurels for too long. In terms of what’s under the hood, Apple’s machines aren’t much different from what many other manufacturers release. In terms of sleekness and originality, many of Apple’s foes now have machines that are almost as pleasant to the eye as the Apple machine. If Apple wants to improve its market share, it’s high time they come up with a bold new design and offer improved hardware or more useful software. Finally, we might add that Windows has a far larger application library. In 2017 there were around 670,000 apps in the Windows Store and four million applications outside the Store. The Mac App Store by comparison had around 30,000 apps, with some people a few years back asking if the company had given up on the store altogether. In conclusion, PCs have budget machines for all your needs- so if you are short a penny or two then PCs win all the way. Macs are great machines, though, and if you like the style and the functionality, then you should buy one, but if you are looking for power and are budget-minded, you should stick with a PC. So, which do you prefer? Is Apple’s outward style better than having better hardware inside? Let us know your thoughts in the comments! The grand prize trip will send a lucky guest to see the Seahawks play in London. To get ready for your next trip, our travel enthusiast, Mary, is here to give us some little packing hacks. Hi, I’m Mary. I work on the digital marketing team here and we are preparing for the Great American Road Trip this August and I don’t know about you, but packing gives me such a headache so I have found all the packing hacks to add more ease to traveling. One issue I always have with packing is that I either over pack or under pack so a good general rule to follow is that for every one pair of bottoms that you pack, pack two tops. One tip I have for packing is to roll your clothes. This is a great way to maximize your space in your suitcase. So how I roll my clothes is that I fold them in half and then you just want to roll as tight as you can. So pants can be a little bit trickier sometimes, but you still follow the same general rules. You’re just going to want to fold it in half and then maybe start from the bottom and make your way to the top. Ta-da! Another tricky one is shirts that have hoods and sweaters that have hoods, so I always like to tuck my hood down first, put long sleeves behind and roll from here. Another tip I have is to always make sure that all of your jeans are zipped up and buttoned or your sweatshirts are zipped up before you start packing. It just makes it a lot easier to do the folding. Perfect-o! Another tip I have is to put your toiletries or makeup in a clear or semi-clear bag. I like to use this bag when I travel because it is semi-see-through so I can see what’s in there without having to dig through the bag. It also has a little bit of bubble wrap in the packaging so it keeps all my stuff secure. I got this bag from one of my favorite makeup brands, but you can probably find something similar in grocery stores. What’s safer than a lock? A sock! One hassle of packing is always worrying about your breakables that you want to bring with you. One way to keep those safe is to put anything that you think might break or get hit by something into a sock. We walk around in our shoes all day and they get all gross and muddy from all of our different adventures and we don’t want any of that to get on our clothes so one cheap way to keep your clothes protected is to put your shoes in a plastic bag. Just shove them right in. This keeps your clothes protected from any dirt you may have picked up on your fun adventures. One thing to keep in mind with packing your suitcase is that it’s not all about the folding, it’s actually about where you put things in your suitcase as well. So you want to put all of your heavier items like your shoes or any electrics towards the bottom near the wheels so that way when you lift up the suitcase there’s no shift in weight. So another tip that I have is to stack your hats on top of each other like this. This helps the bill keep it’s form and if you have more space on the top you can just fit them right in there and that doesn’t put too much pressure on your hat. Since the main goal is maximizing space, anytime that you can you can shove little pieces into your shoes even. This will also add extra protection to any of your breakable items. Another really great hack is putting any loose wires into a sunglass case. We’re going to fold each of these up so they don’t get tangled in each other first. You want to make sure that with your phone cords you don’t do this too tight or else it’s going to ruin that connection right there. You can also use some tape to help secure your wires together so they don’t come loose while they’re in the case. That’s all the packing hacks I have for you guys today. Be sure to use these the next time you guys go on vacation and join us every Monday in August for the Great American Road Trip. Thank you Mary for those awesome packing hacks. Summer is also the perfect time to get outside and be active. One of the great perks of working at the Swinomish Casino & Lodge is all of the amazing health and workout challenges that team members can participate in. Each year team members, like me, participate in the Tough Mudder, complete walkabout challenges and work out in the fitness center to win prizes. A group of team members also run in Ragnar, a 199-mile relay that starts in Blaine and ends in Langley. Lisa met with some of our runners from the Swinomish Ragnar team to see how it went. Let’s check it out. Hey guys we’re here in the workout room over by the lodge with some of our team members from the Swinomish Casino & Lodge. These guys participated in Ragnar this July. Can you, Josh, tell us a little bit more about Ragnar? Sure. So Ragnar was a great experience for all of us. We had to make our way across a 200-ish mile distance race between everyone and rack up as many kills as we possibly could. We had a great time. So can you expand on that term kill, because those of us who don’t do Ragnar don’t really know what that means. Kills means when you’re racing an opponent you want to make sure you pass them. So it’s just if you pass a team member or pass someone that you’re participating with? That’s correct. Gotcha. Okay so this next question is for Greg. Greg, how many years has Swinomish Casino & Lodge participated? This last year marked our fourth year, consecutive year of the doing the Ragnar relay and each year we’ve gotten more people involved. The first year I think we only had enough people to have six so we had to join another team to do it. The next year I think we had seven or eight and now this last year everyone that was in the vans, all 12 people, were all either Swinomish Casino employees or Swinomish Tribal employees. Wonderful. Wow. My next question is for Josh. When you’re running that last five mile, maybe you’ve already run 15, you’ve got five more to go, what’s going through your head? So what’s going through my head is that I want to make sure I set the pace for the rest of my teammates and hopefully I hand the baton over correctly because there’s times where you’re just so dead tired that you end up dropping the wrist band and yeah it sets your team just a couple seconds back, but most importantly you just want to make sure you be like ‘hey, go get ‘em champ.’ So motivating. I might do it in two years. So you guys seem like you’re in really good shape, but what do you do to prepare for this huge event? Jorge, how do you train? We train all around here in Skagit Valley running, doing stairs over here at the casino, cardio over here on the machines in the gym and that’s it. Well we really have no excuses over here at the Swinomish Casino & Lodge because as you can see there’s some awesome equipment here. Like Jorge said, we can do the stairs. So we’re here in our fitness center, which has really made it easy for our team to come in and get in shape and join these events as a team. Okay Greg, I am going to pass the mic over to you and you can tell us a little bit more about where we are standing. You got it. Well we’re in our fitness center that’s utilized primarily for our guests to use, but as time went by we realized it was an opportunity for us to put together our wellness program and start using it for workouts for our team members. We started setting up workout times. We came up with a lot of the programs we have with our wellness team: stair challenge, fitness challenges, all the fun things we do to get everyone involved and right now the room that we’re in is close to not being used anymore by our team members because we’re going to build a new fitness room up in the new area that we’ve remodeled and built over above the new entrances. So soon, hopefully sometime in the month of September, we’ll have a new crossfit rig up there, we’ll have an area for everyone to come up and do their aerobic activities, which Brenda is working on, and then as well we’ll have places for people to work out. We’ve got showers for the guys, showers for the girls, the whole thing. So we’re really hoping to turn the whole wellness movement within the casino here to another level here within the next couple months so keep your eyes open. Lots of fun stuff coming. Swin Fit is going to rock it this next year and hopefully we’ll have a Ragnar team next year that’s going to go ahead and improve our time by what, how much time do you think we can improve- take off our time from this year? Probably about 30, maybe up to an hour. I think so. I think we’re going to do really well next year. Jorge, what do you think? [Laughter] Jorge is not a man of many words, but I can tell you that he’s probably thinking that we’d at least shave off 15 or 20 minutes off of our time. Just as this young man, Josh, did. Lisa, here you go. Well thanks guys for sharing your story today and we look forward to your next Ragnar event. When would that be? July, 2019. So I have hope is what you’re telling me. I have hope. Okay. Alright, thanks guys. Next up is the annual Tough Mudder in Seattle. This will be my second year participating and I am really excited to do it again. Participants trek ten miles of muddy terrain while completing 20 obstacles along the way. Vantage Point begins with us watching a broadcast of a global anti-terrorism summit in Salamanca, Spain where the president of the United States is about to deliver a speech. Amongst the thousands of people who have gathered, the president exits the limo surrounded by security and enters the stage area. If you've seen the trailers you know what's about to happen. As he's about to begin his speech, he gets shot by a sniper. There is very little (if any) character development in this movie. We are briefly introduced to each character during the opening 20 minutes and then watch the events unfold from various point of views (As the title suggests). The problem is, it becomes very boring and tedious after the first few times watching the same opening sequence. Also we don't care about these people, they feel unimportant as there is little to no background on them. The acting is mediocre at best, in fact laughable at times. I felt nothing from these actors, the only one who I thought did a good job was Sigourney Weaver, the lead control girl for the television broadcast company in the opening sequence. Everyone else seemed very forced and unbelievable. The movie also brought every cliche in an action movie, such as getting crushed by a MAC Truck into a wall but walking away without a scratch, to an unbelievablely long car chase scene that simply couldn't and wouldn't happen in real life. The car sequence was like something out of Ronin, except with cheesy cars and bad acting. It simply defines a Hollywood Movie and I wouldn't recommend it for a movie theater experience. If you're dying to see it, wait for it on DVD as there simply is nothing special to see here. Interesting stories of movies creator: http://fxresource.webs.com/apps/blog/show/44459315-the-power-of-the-printed-word-the-screenplay-as-a-literary-art-form http://fxresource.webs.com/apps/blog/show/44459305-hound-dogs-and-trailer-trash-the-trials-and-tribulations-of-a-south-georgia-screenwriter The first big budget hollywood movie of 2008 jumped into theaters but not without a rough landing. The concept is great, the effects are decent, but the plot & the acting is ridiculously bad.
At the age of fifteen, David Rice (Hayden Christensen) discovers he has the ability to teleport anywhere in the world, at anytime. After learning how to control his new power, he does what every 15 yr old kid would consider doing, rob a bank. So now life is great, he's sitting pretty with tons of money and can 'travel' anywhere in the world, but at what price? After taking us on a tour around the world (Best part of the film), David gets lonely and decides to try to hook back up with his highschool sweetheart (Rachel Bilson), not knowingly about to get her involved in a heap of mess. Roland (Samuel L. Jackson) tracks jumpers to kill them believing "only God should have that power". He's also the lead investigator of the bank robbery and eventually catches up to David. From that point on, the film is a constant blur of jumping as the two battle it out, ultimately resulting in a very unsatisfying ending. Like I said, the concept is great but the plot holes look like a thick slice of swiss cheese. Everything just seems to happen and you're constantly asking yourself questions throughout the film as there is little explanation given. The only decent character in the movie, was a guy named Griffin, played by Jamie Bell. He added some much needed comic relief and had some good punchlines throughout. Aside from him, the cast was awful. Hayden and Rachel proved that they are not this generation's next big stars. There was no chemistry onscreen at all between the two, perhaps partly due to the terrible script. Don't waste $10 on this one (or $20 on a date). It offers some entertainment value but the trailer shows you all the good you'll get from it. I decided to write movie review about Rambo film, because Sylvester Stallone is my favourite actor. There is no sugar coating it, Rambo is the definition of a guy movie. Any guy with half-a-brain can sit back and totally love what unfolds in front of him. If you look away you for just a minute you probably will miss a headshot or a flying limb. Who knew a sniper shot can fling a guy 80 ft across jungle terrain? haha. This goes down as one of the most violent movies I've ever seen. Stats show that 236 people are killed in this movie averaging 2.59 kills/minute. My only beef is that they had to show children getting brutally killed. It's a pretty twisted scene too, the guy tells the village "Listen, we are taking your children with us to become soldiers," then he literally tosses one into a fire.. Untraceable's concept would have made an excellent one hour CSI episode. Unfortunately trying to stretch it into a feature film gave us a lot of boring down time. I kept wanting the killer to find somebody else so that I wouldn't have to try to stay awake through Diane Lane's "life" issues. I guess on the bright side, the casting was good and the acting was decent. That's all I have to say about that. In the end it just seemed that this movie had way too much filler and not enough substance. If this is a movie that you just have to watch, then wait for the dvd. Don't make the mistake I did and see this on the big screen. I've seen this compared to Silence of the Lambs but this story could make Hannibal Lector about as bland as a day at the Museum. |
